The Port of Seattle is responsible for 100,000 jobs in King County. The port commission’s decisions over the next years will determine whether our port remains competitive and whether those jobs remain here. The commission’s decisions will also determine whether we keep those family wage jobs in a way that also protects our environment. I want the port commission to make decisions that both generate jobs and protect our environment, and I want the commission to make those decisions in a manner that increases the public’s trust.
